If US spec probably Jag Vanden Plas - has lots of shiny bits, but no fogs so likely early one. |

Daimler grille so unlikely to be US spec. Vanden Plas was Daimler spec but had a Jaguar hrille |

Did Canada get different models? |

Merged, 1 - different plate but looks same car Jag/Daimler and VdP/not VdP names will depend on where filmed. It/they look North American spec, and we have some Jag VdPs listed for CDN within the mix. Also I think we have a few North American S3s with Daimler grilles, which are assumed to be owner tweaks. |

This car is RHD, so import from UK is most likely, which opens up more variants on what it could be. -- Last edit: 2023-07-18 21:53:08 |

Re-assembling the clues, RHD means ex-UK car likely (though not the only possible source). Still looks like a VdP, but some typical American bling has been added - wires, chrome arches. The V12 S3 was never sold in US due to emissions regs, but the 4.2 was. Someone else can comment on whether grey importing a V12 in these circs is possible or too difficult to contemplate, but my hunch is to go for Sovereign 4.2 VdP - a less common permutation, and this is our first as S3. |

Double Six then. It's possible to be a 1991 but I wouldn't bank on it considering the accuracy of the other information on that web page. I nurse a suspicion of it being a Japanese market one, as a lot of the late Double Sixes were sold there. No issues with V12s in Canada as they were sold there new. -- Last edit: 2023-08-03 11:54:24 |
