Very little is seen to identify this "minor action" sedan. ![]() The only clue I think is possibly a full length roof gutter that extends over the 'C' pillar if the end of the bright trim is just seen at the top corner. This is unusual for a sedan of the late 1970s (the rear screen is shallow with little curvature and the screen surround is fairly slim). The practice of using full length gutters was being phased out by Ford on the Escort Mk.1 and Vauxhall on the HA Viva. Austin Morris used them on 1100/1300, Rover 2000 P6 and Triumph on the Dolomites and 2000 models but nothing matches. So is it other than a British saloon, an import, say Japanese possibly? |

My guess would be a 1978+ (or facelifted 1980+) Toyota Carina in 2-door sedan version. |

Good choice DynaMike, the rear glass surround looks identical although the best I could find was a 4-door. /vehicle_95146-Toyota-Carina.html -- Last edit: 2008-06-23 11:16:31 |
