The flat-ish rear bumper with square ends suggests to me the pre-war Flying Standard Fourteen Super [14CA] and Twenty Super [20CA] Touring Saloons. With a bit of guesswork, the registration could be 'AAN ???' 1939 West Ham, London? |

Sunbar, I was thinking of this: - Postwar, but the shapes seem to match, and a clue to whether or not it is the Twenty might be the way the doors are hung. Both hinged from the rear, or both off the “B” post? -- Last edit: 2023-08-16 17:05:52 |

^ The way the rear doors are hinged in both your example and the movie vehicle johnfromstaffs, is true of the 1939 Flying Twelve and post-war Twelve or Fourteen. Enlarging the bumper ends still makes me think that they are squared off, so pre-war. However its not reasonable to assume so, as the image is now only 5 or 6 pixels high for the bumper. 1945-8 Twelve 12CD or Fourteen 14CD, and Fourteen as a coin-toss? |
