I believe this is most definitely a Mercedes-Benz, but what model? The latter is rather difficult as models varied during production and not all are possible to search on the net. Also many body alternatives were possible to have with various engines. However, the lowest possible model is the 1937-41 230 Innenlenker [W 143] http://www.classiccarcatalogue.com/MERCEDES_1937.html (the red one beneath the orange brochure cover). But it can also be: 260 D Innenlenker, 290 or a 320. 1934-37 (towards the end of production) Mercedes-Benz 290 Lang [W 18 II] http://www.autogallery.org.ru/k/m/mbo2941.jpg -- Last edit: 2023-08-23 15:46:46 |

The postion of dent on doorstep (for jack) is a clou - around the middle between axles (230/260D) or nearside rear axle (290/320). 1937 Innenlenkers to compare: 230/260D & 320. Here we've 1936 only 290 Lang [W18] or 320 [W142]. |
