@Lateef - Is there a way to tell which model and specific year a 1946-1948 Chrysler sedan could be? |

There are several ways to tell the model, but it depends on what views are available. Best way to identify them are the cowl scripts, which aren't always readable. If not, then: Crown Imperial (Eight) has longer windows, a long hood and a unique cowl script style. New Yorker and Saratoga (Eight) have long hoods. The former has more luxurious interior panels and wheel trims than the latter. Windsor and Royal (Six) have short hoods. Same as above. As for the years, they were identical for all years except for the Crown Imperial, which received shorter front fender trim midway through the 1948 model year. |

I just posted several pics of one yesterday, but am unsure of the model or if the year could be narrowed down:![]() ![]() |

Six-cylinder wheelbase, and as the script doesn't dip down, it can only be a Windsor. |
