Allard for sure. There's a picture of what I'm pretty sure is this exact same car (number 14B) on Wikipedia that identifies it as a 1950 model, but it doesn't give a model name: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:1950Allard.jpg |

14b is Bill Marriott's Cadillac powered Allard J2 raced by Bill Pollack. The picture looks like Pebble Beach, 2006. "Another of Marriott’s most important cars is a 1951 Allard J2 Sports-Racing Roadster, made famous in West Coast competition by famed driver, Bill Pollack. “I first saw that car in 1952 when I attended the races at Pebble Beach,” Marriott says. He spotted the Allard again, years later, at the Monterey Historics. “The black paint glistened; the red wheels sparkled and the whitewalls were spotless. Nothing came close to the car’s raw beauty and that audacious combination of black, red and white.” In 1995, Marriott had an opportunity to buy that same Allard. He didn’t hesitate. “I’ve fulfilled my college daydreams,” he says, “by owning the most magnificent sports car I had ever seen.”" |
