 Commonly know as the Walkinshaw Commodores, after Tom Walkinshaw, who took over Holden's special vehicle operations and formed Holden Special Vehicles (HSV), after Holden split with Peter Brock's Holden Dealer Team (HDT) operation. Also called Plastic Pigs after the massive body kit, which didn't leave too much of the metal bodywork remaining uncovered

 They were built by HSV under contract to Holden, so were sold officially as a Holden, even though the Holden Lion badges were replaced with HSV logos
