1969+ because of the headrests and no side strip (hence no W112). Then 1969(+?) Mercedes-Benz 280 SE/C [W 111]. High radiator grille so not a 280 SE/C 3.5 https://www.heckflosse.nl/280seccv.htm . Note: That is what is possible to deduct from this information. It can also be an older version where the front seats have been replaced, much can happen, and also does happen in 50+ years. -- Last edit: 2024-05-20 14:38:54 |

The one to the extreme left is a 1956-58 Mercedes-Benz 300 Sc Coupé [W 188] (98 made!), which is the fuel injected version of the 300 S. The latter had instead 3 carburettors . The 300 Sc had chromed wheel arches and wheels which the 300 S didn't have. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_W_188 -- Last edit: 2024-05-20 14:50:11 |

It was one of the first vehicles with Petrol direct injection which was announced by the lettering "Einspritzmotor" on the bumper Link to "de.wikipedia.org" |

Are you sure this is a 'high radiator' car, zodiac? Seems to match this 1970 280 SE 3.5: https://pwa.thiesen-automobile.com/en/cars/280-se-3-5-coupe-4/ Here's the 300 Sc from the same showroom: https://pwa.thiesen-automobile.com/en/cars/300-sc-coupe-6/ |

@CougarTim: (and others) I tried my best to compare between two radiators and thought it looked more narrow. But as the Wiesmann is (partly) standing in front of the grille that might have contributed to a somewhat strange perspective. I choose between the (high radiator) 280 SE and the (low radiator) 280 SE 3.5 (some 280 SE were also built) and went with the cheaper option. With such a picture I don't think I was too bad with only one year off. It could have been much worse (See my first comment)... -- Last edit: 2024-05-25 11:23:57 |
