dsl ◊ 2024-10-08 19:55	Fake plate. A prefix (Aug 83 to July 84) is newer than car - pre-Jan 82 facelift, but with mid-79+ Viking bonnet badge. No fogs suggests poverty version, and no chrome on door frame with plain plastic mirrors makes me think 2300 or even the noddy 2000 version.

dsl ◊ 2024-10-08 21:16	It could be but nothing to confirm. There's no clear shot of the bonnet badge there or on the other "78 2600s" linked as possible repeat sightings. Not impossible this is a 2600 poverty police spec or that the others are 2300s like this, but not enough to definitely join them in a chain.

dsl ◊ 2024-10-09 21:56	YPA 629Y is fake police livery on a very late Vanden plas - Jan 86 for side indicator and no tints so 2600. Police patrols would never have been given luxury VdPs, unless there was a special deal as SD1 production ended to clear unsold stock.
