Wouldn't that make it an NV, rather? |

^ Yes generally a LC5 (1½-Ton) would have single rears and NV (2½-3 Ton or 5-Ton) twin rears. However there was a LC5T twin rear option for 2-Ton briefly for the years 1957-1959, it had the same 121in. wheelbase as the normal LC5, and the same narrow track. I did find a preserved example here, but cannot say if any were used as Royal Mail vans. I think it more likely to be an older 1945-1950 Morris-Commercial CV 1½-2 Ton van which were used by Royal Mail (in addition to the LC3) rather than a comparatively new 1957-1959 LC5T. -- Last edit: 2024-11-05 22:12:31 |
