^ That Hawson box bodied truck is a normal TK Cab with only a small hinged flap (for routine engine access) behind the door. Telehoist produced the "scissor-lift" conversion (Locomotors Ltd making the body) on 37 TK trucks in 1971 for BEA but only seen with the standard 2-3 man cab. The movie's truck with an extended cab probably pre-dates the Telehoist order. Not too certain these were a crew cab as the TK's engine was behind the front seat and other TK crew cabs were longer to have the second row of seats behind the engine, seen here and here. |
