1955 Pontiac is first in line, number 3 seems to be a Mercury 1954 (Maybe 53) |

It obviously is a hardtop coupe. This was sold as '870 Chieftain Catalina' (122" wheelbase) or as 'Star Chief Custom Catalina' (124" wheelbase). Because of the rather simple bumper (no overriders) it has to be the Chieftain. |

No, it is definitely the Star Chief Catalina 2-door hardtop. The grill guard was purely optional on all models.. This is the top of the line Star Chief coupe, because it has the 3 "star" emblems that only the star-chiefs had. |

Agree with jazzfi. Definitely the Star Chief Custom Catalina. Three stars on side are visible in main pic. Could it be the same car from Vertigo? /vehicle_16911-Pontiac-Star-Chief-1955.html -- Last edit: 2015-01-05 19:49:53 |
