The dark coloured van directly below St. Paul's dome. Perhaps a Morris Royal Mail van? -- Last edit: 2008-10-27 13:21:09 |

I don't think so; the Morris-Commercial Royal Mail vans were taller than this and the design of the front wings/fenders simpler. I'd suggest something like an old newspaper van, perhaps based on a Bedford ASYC. |

You're right about it being another newspaper van, chris40.. News Chronicle this time judging by the side. As you say the front wings are distinctive so I'm 90% certain its another Humber Snipe 10cwt van. The radiator is not really visible (it may have been damaged?) but the bonnet and wings match as do the body. /vehicle_197016-Humber-Snipe-10cwt-1945.html |

OK, Sunbar, I'll buy that ... grille probably got damaged at the same time it lost the offside headlamp |

Reused from here which seems to show Evening Standard side writing. Intrigued by the twin aerials. |

The twin 'aerials'.... signs in a 'V' configuration removed from the roof leaving only the rear supports perhaps? |
