Richard Davies ◊ 2007-09-04 23:00	I think more than one Checker was used, this has just "Taxi" on the roof sign, while the other had a proper fleet number, as so many other cabs seen in the film.

But as G-MANN said, he worked for a company, and it's common with some fleets that the driver won't always get the same car, but different cars every shift.

"Taxi" roof sign is only visable from the front on cabs of that time, and every time you see the back of the roof sign, it says "3S96". Just watched it on AMC.
