![]() ![]() ![]() The pics in sephia are maybe better, but they rather come from the original footages (though they also filmed many scenes with actors in such colors and blue) and the car on the main pic is for sure a part of the film set. |

1st thumb: #67 listed in 68 Monte results as McMillen/Metcalfe, Ford Lotus Cortina, started Monte Carlo, retired. Not a works set of drivers, and entry list does not specify Mk1 or Mk2 Cortina. But I'm prepared to accept a late Mk1 Lotus could well have been a private entry; there are 9 Lotus Cortinas in the entry list (another in 3rd thumb), none with obviously works driver pairings, and Mk2 Lotus was only a few months old. As far as I can tell Ford skipped the 68 Monte to concentrate on developing the imminent Escort TC. #67 is genuine rally-prepared with eg fuel filler visible behind rear window, unlike main which still has filler by number plate and looks a mock-up. |
