Of all the cars that appeared in the 9-year Perry Mason run, I think I would most like to own this one! |

This is a pretty cool Lincoln...although in this episode (1:05), I don't think it's Mason's car. I have most of this show on DVD/Tape, and if I remember correctly it was some judge's (who ended up being a suspect or something) car. However, Mason did drive many Lincolns over the course of the 9-year run. |

Actually, I think there were 2 '57 Lincolns in the ep. There was this one driven by one of the guests (not Mason) and one connected with the police in some way, as I recall. |

The police had a Lincoln?? Man it's been several years since I've watched this episode. I have it on DVD, so I'll have to get it out and watch it sometime soon. POSSIBLE SPOILER: If I remember correctly, it was either the judge (owner/driver of this Lincoln) or his passenger that ended up being the murderer. But, again, I may be mistaken?? It also looks as if this 57 Lincoln was used in another episode too...I'll have to check that one out again as well. Between "Surfside 6" and "Perry Mason", now I want to watch certain episodes again to see how and/or what part these Lincolns played in them. ![]() -- Last edit: 2011-03-13 22:34:58 |

I think you're right. It's been a while since I've watched that one so I could be wrong about the other Lincoln. If you watch the ep, report back on the 2nd Lincoln, if any. It might warrant another page here. |

Thanks. I thought there was a 2nd. Should have checked the other pages before I posted! |

2nd Lincoln mystery solved! ![]() -- Last edit: 2011-03-13 23:08:22 |

Yes, Hunter. I watched my DVD las night, too. My memory was a bit faulty. I recalled Tragg and Burger standing around the Lincoln and assumed it was theirs. I see now it was not. However, it is never indicated whos it was and it's definitely not the (darker) one shown earlier/pictured above although both are '57 Premiere sedans. |

Uh, oh...2nd Lincoln mystery is still a mystery! ![]() ![]() As for Tragg being near the Lincoln...in the pic (link above) it looks as though Tragg is walking towards the Lincoln as actor William Schallert, and another man, are standing beside it. If I remember right Schallert guest starred in the episode (possibly was the murderer too...you know again ![]() |

No, look closely at the license tags on the front of each car. They are different. |
◊ 2011-03-16 07:22 |
To be honest...the license tag on the "darker" (1st Lincoln) here is mostly too blurred to see it accurately. However, I think I can make out an 8 and a 7 in the ending numbers. On the "lighter" (2nd Lincoln) one the tag is MLJ782...which does include the numbers 8 & 7. But, the darker one does look to probably be too dark to be the lighter one even in the dark. So, I too think they are probably two different Lincolns. Again, in the next few days I will try to watch this episode again too to see if there is anyway to tell whose Lincoln was whose. |

But try the first thumbnail above. The plate is quite readable there. |
◊ 2011-03-17 07:34 |
Ahh...yes, the tag of the darker one is MLJ 873. I doubt these tags were real (unless they were rentals??) but they are different numbers. The colors are also obviously different as well. After tomorrow I have several days off from work, and one evening I plan to watch this episode again. ![]() |

It's a good one. I just wish the Lincolns had more air time! |
