I see a "W" in the insignia on the radiator, but that's it. |

White maybe |

"Look, kid, this bargain your old man sold me... ...I've been keeping it together with spit. The universal's shot. The rear end's coming apart. I'd be glad to give it back, but I need it for one more haul. Just one." |

I think the hood & radiator top are too rounded for a White. Seems to be an "X" or something similar after that "W". -- Last edit: 2009-01-06 23:37:44 |

Moreland of California? Perhaps a Road Runner. -- Last edit: 2009-01-07 00:48:31 |

White trucks had that round hood ornament, but not that font. For some reason, I keep thinking it might be some division of Willys. |

I wasn't referring to the ornament. |

Hmm...the radiator housing & headlights resemble those of a Fageol, but that doesn't fit the logo. vehicle_79984-Fageol-21-2-Ton.html The radiator being significantly taller than the hood is an element of some Macks. www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/mack/2030towlrg.jpg -- Last edit: 2009-01-07 03:37:34 |

It probably is a Mack, looking at that cabin. Around 1917-1920 maybe. |

Yeah, that certainly looks like the cabin of a Mack AB. www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/bullnoze/mack_ab.jpg www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/shelton/25_mack_ab_2.jpg www.flickr.com/photos/mr38/503384700/in/set-72157606967373884/ Those headlights would put it at late-20s/early-30s. Aha! Just found this '27 AB and it's virtually identical! flickr.com/photos/mr38/2773502376/ -- Last edit: 2009-01-07 17:46:51 |
