T815 I would recognize It has different shape of the cab and in the 1977 existed only as prototypes anyway. http://img.alibaba.com/photo/10815129/Crane_Tatra_AD28.jpg There is a lot of possibilities. Well to me it is rather not any common in those times Coles Hydra/our Hydros/Bumar etc., as they look like this one: /vehicle_66990-Coles-Hydra-T-351.html Takraf from the GDR were based on IFAs: http://anunturi.netflash.ro/gallery/large/imgBexoPX.jpeg Groves, used in those times here, were also different: /vehicle_77717-Grove.html There were also some Jones: Link to "marketeo.com" And perhaps many others. ... If it would be possible to read the crane builder name through these windows... Also temporary plates, doesn't make it easy, as it can be something borrowed for tests or maybe even some prototype. -- Last edit: 2009-02-04 18:30:18 |

It's Famaba Głogów 16T, with it's own body (but chassis? maybe Tatra?). Should be listed as Famaba (as new make)? http://www.allegro.pl/item680913621_dzwig_zuraw_famaba_16t.html |

Great find! Famaba Głogów... something what I would never guess. The make can be just Famaba, but only in case if there wasn't (isn't) other Famabas in different cities (like ZBNS's or ZNTK's), but seems there is only one such company. Btw, the crane in this film is brand new - acc. to their site they have changed the name to Famaba in 1976 http://www.famaba.glogow.com/index.html - hence the white plates. Edit: If based on something, it is not Tatra - wheels are perpendicular to the ground. EDIT 2 (04.2017): it was Polish chassis, there were at least 3 models with this cab: - BDS-10 T - the only one from these 3 which had 2-axis chassis and crane also had different arm than we see in movie - possibly a prototype. - BDS-16 T aka Hydros T-161 on chassis PS-159 - link 1 - it seems to be the most common version - still quite many used ones are for sale. - Hydros T-181 on chassis PS-180 - link 2. T-181 seems to be very rare, IMHO it could be a prototype same like BDS-10 T (despite its brochure was printed in 1970s). Also the prevoiusly linked info had to be wrong, name FAMABA was used already before 1976, after 1974 in promo materials often as Bumar-FAMABA. -- Last edit: 2017-04-15 20:25:26 |
