AEC RT as you say - note the destination blinds seem to have been made up for filming |

Registration something like ?LX40? a guess... DLX405? Route 301 possibly, green London Transport livery, Aylesbury, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, and Tring? edit: I think 'Town Service' was used on buses as I remember. -- Last edit: 2009-02-09 16:29:12 |

Some guesses - if the reg on the first one is ?LX405, that'd have to be RT588 (HLX405) - DLU or DGX would be valid for an STL, but this is not an STL! The other two might be RT1985 (LUC86) and RT1826 (KYY681) |

More guesses based on green livery country bus service 301 and a connection with Stevenage in 1962 to mid-1963. Looking at the alternatives and the registration in the picture it could be HLX421. RT604 HLX421 Weymann body 7704 November 1962 - 1963 SV Stevenage If so its preserved as here... http://londonbuspageinexile.files.wordpress.com/2007/04/070415b.jpg |

I’m guessing that the plate possibly reads HLX or MLX 401. |
