This is clearly a 1977-78/79 Mark III, because of the Grill that has only horizontal louvers and the parking/Indicator lamps are isolated from the grill.Or in rare cases can be a modified Mark - II with Mk-III Grill too. Also Mark - III did not have rubber stoppers (Two Vertical Ornamental parts either side) on Bumpers, was rather in chrome steel sheet and those parking lamps were White in Mark-III whereas in the image Parking/Indicator lamps is in Amber. So those Black Rubber Stoppers on Bumper and Amber Parking/Indicator lamps are from later versions. Possible Classic post 2000. Registration is MRN , which I guess, is possibly from Maharashtra State. |

Is this part of knowledge faulty? "In 1975 Ambassador under went yet another minor facelift to the same grille and a much bigger frontal facelift, with a new dashboard all in black, new tail lights, number plate light and rounded parking light. The new car was known as the Mark 3, the most popular face of the Ambassador. By 1978, the Mark 3 was available in its Standard and Deluxe versions. The Deluxe version had a newer dashboard with four meters plus the speedometer". We're starving for more precise knowledge about Ambassador however it is not easy because so many cars mixing elements from various generation. ![]() |
