Its possibly been discussed before but as an early example is it correctly Lotus Cortina or Ford Cortina Lotus? (We have both descriptions on IMCDb for the 1963 model.) /vehicle_204650-Lotus-Cortina.html /vehicle_74881-Ford-Cortina-Lotus-1963.html This one registered as a Ford The vehicle details for FGF 113C are: Date of Liability 01 09 2009 Date of First Registration 19 05 1965 Year of Manufacture Not Available Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1558CC Vehicle Colour WHITE |

So if it's registered as a ford it should be Ford Cortina Lotus then, so if that could be added like the example |

Colin Chapman always refered to the car as a lotus-cortina and this was the name picked up by the press and became the commonly accepted name . Ford however, not wanting the name 'lotus' ahead of the 'cortina' name always officially called the mk1 a cortina-lotus. Ford also officially called the mk2 version a cortina-lotus but some of their literature and a parts book for this car refer to a lotus-cortina so popular opinion won through. The mk2 was always built by ford themselves and the mk1 built by lotus. |

FGF 113C beginning to appear fairly often in media coveragw - a nice Fifth Gear Classics video at Link to "fwd.channel5.com" (with some archive 1966 and RAC Rally footage of LCs; may not have been a broadcast item??) and various magazine features. |
