It's a RHD-car, so orign British is correct, not orign Germany.

No joke: the RHD-Ford Capri were were made in Britain with inch-tools and -screws. The LHD-versions in Germany - with metric tools and screws. A result is, that you cannot change the most parts between the LHD- and RHD-versions.

A good example, how British Britain was before entering the EU. :D

[:wam] incredible.
But anyway even if parts are not compatible, the model conception etc. is still from Germany, no?

Its not as straightforward as saying its either British or German I think.

The initial styling concept was from German designer Uwe Bahnsen. The engineering was almost all based on existing English Fords, Cortina, Escort and Corsair. The only additional criteria was that German engines etc. would be used on their cars. As far as I know most of the engineering development was done in England.

If anyone knows more about the development of the German versions I would be interested.

Maybe we should switch to EU-flag for that one then, like for many other EU-Ford models...

The origin should be British and German (depends on market). The EU flag would be wrong, not only because it didn't exist in such economical form in those times, but because again - the car was designed by British and Germans, so to me it is not necessary to include the entire European Union or Europe to this.
BTW. It is not an Mk II hatchback (see the boot is acutally open), but 1973 "Mk 1,5".

We used EU flag in previous case of multi-EU-country car, it does not especially include all EU countries, it just means that it comes from EU without specifying exactly where.

I know, but somehow, for me, it really looks strange next to the old car, plus here we know what two countries prepared this one. :D

If we will look exactly for historical reasons, the German black-red-gold-flag for vehicles from the Nazi-time is incorrect. This flag was illegal then. And in the pre-1918-times the German flag was black-white-red.
And the GDR had in its first years not the hammer-and-compass-seal in its flag...

NZ imported UK and Aus Capris 69-72, but this 73 facelift was only sourced in UK as Aus assembly stopped 72. History of all NZ Capri versions at http://www.fordcapri.co.nz/history/ .

Does anything happen to this one - it looks engineless?

No, it is just briefly seen there, like many other abandoned/wrecked cars
