sthor ◊ 2009-08-18 00:06	First of all I would like to remind all that there are no 1964 Mustangs. All Mustang from 17. April 1964 to September 1964 are 1965 models. Second this Mustang seems to be a 1967 Mustang. Even from this bad picture the tailligt is slanting indicating a 1967 Mustang. -- Last edit: 2009-08-18 00:12:20

Ford Motor Co describes them that way and no one is entitled to decide otherwise..! September 1964 to August 1965 are 1965 models. So maybe there are not 1964 Mustangs but there are 1964 1/2 at least.

Mustangs produced between March 9th and July 31st of 1964 are often coined the 1964 ½ Ford Mustang by enthusiasts. Initial production of the second round of Mustangs began on August 17th, 1964. Both the original production Mustangs and the second run are technically considered 1965 Mustangs by Ford. That’s not to say there aren’t differences between the two. The first Mustangs produced feature unique characteristics that set them apart from those produced after July 31st, 1964. Therefore technically, all of the original Ford Mustangs are 1965 models because all carry a 1965 model year Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). -- Last edit: 2010-12-27 15:54:16
