Is that Ford Aspire same thing as Geo Metro and Suzuki Swift in other countries? At least it looks the same, here in Finland these are sold under name 'Suzuki Swift'. |

The Aspire was the Kia Avella. The Geo Metro was a rebadged Suzuki Swift sold in the US by GM. -- Last edit: 2010-04-06 21:28:36 |

I could have used every single one of those parts from both Aspires!! Im starting to hate myhbusters for destroying rare cars, and cars that could seriously be useful to me. |

That was a 12-year-old car, and not especially rare I believe... can't you find these quite easily in junkyards? Compared to the AMC destroyed in another episode, I do not see the problem here. -- Last edit: 2012-01-31 16:02:59 |

Yes, but that car is in very good condition, better than most on the roads, if you even see one. Mine is in terrible condition, and yes, it is alot worse when they destroy even rarer cars like the X 19 or the amc you were talking about. |

Seems the 1997 MYs were already being produced in 1996:![]() -- Last edit: 2015-03-31 10:54:57 |

Yes. That's normal procedure. |

We can't go off the tail lamps as the faded. Normally we go off the bumpers. Those are the 1994-1996 wheel covers. 1997 models have different styled covers. The front light do look clear but they might have faded too. Holy spit. 1994-1995 have black pillars? 1996-1997 seem to have colored?!?! 1995 brochure: http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/Ford/Aspire/Ford_US%20Aspire_1995.pdf 1996 brochure: Link to "www.ebay.com" -- Last edit: 2020-02-20 17:19:18 |

I don't know how different things were then, but today, 12 years old is not very old at all. A "mint condition" 2012 car would not be even remotely rare or interesting today. |
