I just got the entire first season, I'm gonna submit the cars from it when I have time. |
◊ 2006-11-05 10:59 |
Do all these 4-star vehicle really deserve it? |
◊ 2006-11-05 17:43 |
Yes, I gave them 4 stars because they have "an important role". I didn't notice your post, IRT_BMT_IND, sorry about that. The quality of the pictures I added are not very good, so feel free to replace those if you want. |
◊ 2006-11-05 21:57 |
That word "important" is probably not the best, what it should mean is a car that is used a lot, and shown a lot. |
◊ 2007-03-10 02:29 |
There is also the cement truck episode where they blow one up with TNT |
◊ 2007-03-10 04:26 |
I remember that one. They were trying to clean cement out that was left in the mixer and had set up. |
◊ 2007-03-11 02:56 |
There was a Ford Tempo (88-94) which they used to test if one could escape a submerged car. |
◊ 2007-03-11 08:26 |
It was an '90/'91 Taurus. There's a video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJTvchQWlk0 -- Last edit: 2007-03-11 08:28:55 |

They're missing an 89ish camaro and a dodge magnum from last weeks show. |
◊ 2007-06-14 03:55 |
Settpistol...are you the one that emailed the zip file for episode 5.11? |
◊ 2007-06-16 06:47 |
That was me |

These pair of idiots should be shot for destroying all the classic cars they did. -- Last edit: 2008-08-13 15:46:04 |
◊ 2008-09-20 13:22 |
The only destructions of cars that I consider shames are the Fiat X1/9 and 60's Chevy Impala. The most of the rest have been godawful junk that deserve it. Like Cutlass, Fury and Taunus |
◊ 2008-09-20 16:36 |
Now that's an interesting point of view... |
◊ 2008-10-19 03:10 |
The Fury was by far the nicest car they've destroyed so far. Odd that you would dislike their destroying an Impala, but not care that they destroyed the Fury, despite the fact that they're such similar cars (direct competitors). I mean, unless you're some anti-Chrysler type or something. |

There are a lot of people here who won't much like the episode that aired tonight. |
◊ 2009-10-08 05:58 |
There was one of those rare early '90s Oldsmobile Custom Cruisers in the episode where they experimented with using sonic booms to break glass. They were hoping to break the windows, but thankfully failed. The interior rearview mirror fell off the windshield and they drove it into a bush, but it was otherwise unharmed by episode's end. |
◊ 2009-11-12 05:42 |
Just watched them toss a bunch of nice cars off a cliff, including a '95 Neon DOHC sedan, and a '96-'99 Legacy Outback (with manual trans!). -- Last edit: 2009-11-16 20:27:40 |

Posted on Adam's Twitter account, they're destroying cars again. This time a Daewoo Nubria: Picture reduced -- Last edit: 2010-01-08 10:00:45 (vilero) |

I notice some of the picture has not been updated. I guess that is the show that does destruction on classic cars that nobody wants to deal with identifying them -- Last edit: 2016-03-08 22:29:17 |
◊ 2010-05-06 05:06 |
They destroyed four of those on tonight's episode. |
◊ 2010-05-11 05:30 |
At least they are not destroying nice cars this episode. |
◊ 2010-11-29 15:22 |
I do not think it is useful to re-list cars from "Lethal Weapon" sequences... |
◊ 2010-11-29 15:55 |
Why not? We have listed plenty of stock footage seen in this show... |
◊ 2010-11-29 16:39 |
But stock footage from what? Here it is just footage from a movie already listed, it is not like archive footage from non-movie sources. |

Are you sure thats a Toyota Cressida? I thought it was a Nissan Laurel? a very nice car in its time, pretty rare...these can be mistaken for the bigger Nissan 300c ...Dan |

In the latest episode, the Build Team uses either a Country Squire or a Colony Park for the Super Glue test - a rig is attached to the roof rack, rear end and front end with the rig glued to another piece mounted to a crane. The glue held up for a moment or two, then broke apart and the car fell, from about four feet. Looked like the frame bent slightly when it landed, although it didn't have any plates and the paint was a bit faded, but otherwise it looked perfectly fine. Adam and Jamie also used a mid-'90s Mustang for a driving test involving shoes in the same episode. -- Last edit: 2012-09-10 04:24:17 |
◊ 2013-03-28 01:17 |
I have upload the Mustang.(And I hope it will be validated by an administrator. |
◊ 2013-03-28 10:56 |
@l6632154j: okay, good. But next time, please capitalise the first letter in the make and model fields (Ford instead of ford), add a zero in front of the episode number if the total amount of episodes consist of more than two digits (10.03 instead of 10.3) and please select the vehicle class. That way it's not so much work to do for the validating admins |
◊ 2014-01-21 19:39 |
Destroyed in the latest episode. |

It kind of annoys that whenever they bring in a car to use in the episode, they never tell us the year, make, or model of the car and leave it to us viewers to have to figure it out. Someone should e-mail them and tell them to start giving us the specifics on the car they use. |
◊ 2014-06-28 12:48 |
There's also two Studebakers that were featured in the Mega Movie Myths Special, which I've included. |

Good riddance, these idiots have no concept of the word preservation. |
◊ 2016-03-12 23:44 |
Wasn't this sequence with the truck pushing cars already added on the site? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKXz1n4n2tk I wanted to add the missing 944 from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ4sDY4xkW8 but it seems that none of the cars of the original sequences are there, though that I remember having seen that somewhere |
◊ 2016-06-11 19:47 |
@craft372 - We don't add normal "traffic" background cars to non-fiction TV shows like this one. |
◊ 2016-06-11 20:05 |
I am really sorry I did not know that and I have removed them but I left the custom race cars and the vehicles used by the MythBusters but can you tell me why you removed the rocket powered 1966 Chevrolet Impala that was used in the pilot episode of the show ? Link to "r.ddmcdn.com" -- Last edit: 2016-06-11 20:06:20 |
◊ 2016-06-11 20:08 |
Because it was already listed here: |
◊ 2016-06-11 20:17 |
Damn I don't know how but somehow I overlooked it |
◊ 2016-06-11 20:19 |
Mainly because it didn't have an episode number, even though Opal added it in his quote in 2014. |
◊ 2016-06-11 20:39 |
I am glad that has bin fixed now and I hope that the other vehicles that do not have a episode number IL also be fixed soon and by the way is it okay for me to add these two vehicles ? because they were not removed by the admin I removed them myself just to be sure -- Last edit: 2016-06-11 20:41:19 |
◊ 2016-06-12 13:23 |
I just added two trucks that were used by the MythBusters in the pilot episode |
◊ 2016-06-12 18:50 |
I just added a 1965 Chevrolet Impala that was shown in stock footage to the guide |
◊ 2016-11-23 12:59 |
Adding some cars from Ep 12.03. What's surprising is that a Volkswagen Type 1 did not flip during the car plow sequence. |
◊ 2018-01-08 19:59 |
In the Duct Tape Canyon episode, Adam and Jamie are seen driving a red Chevrolet Corvair convertible. |
◊ 2018-03-15 19:46 |
Only reason I'm glad the show's over is that they won't be destroying anymore perfectly good classic cars. |

@AdamDomesticated - Is that van from the episode where they explore whether right-hand-turns only save time, which is the episode called "Waterslide Wipeout"? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1659074/ IMDB has different episode numbers than the Discovery site for the show, so I'm just trying to get the right number. |
