Also available as Vauxhall Cresta [PC] the Viscount had a higher trim level and was designated PCE (Executive). http://restored-classics.com/vauxhall/index.html |

This was the last of the Cresta's, The Velox was dropped for the PC range, The option's being Cresta PC (sigle headlights etc), Cresta Delux PC (four headlights etc) & top of the range & Viscount PC. This is a Viscount. |

Same car as /vehicle_111887-Vauxhall-Viscount-PCE-1966.html - D plate means very early example, probably with Vauxhall works plates. |

'-XE' is indeed a Bedfordshire or Luton registration and the car is almost certainly on loan from Vauxhall. However the Vauxhall feet was rather small compared with say ten years later when competing with Ford regarding providing cars to film and TV companies became the norm. |

Location from the thumbnails is Aldbury (within 15 miles of Luton) a common filming location for TV and movies. |
