Oh no he isn't; that's a Fiat badge. This is a 124; the Lada wasn't imported into the UK till 1974: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lada#United_Kingdom_and_Ireland I remember the oldest one I've seen on British plates (badged as Zhiguli, in Cyrillic) had an M registration (1973-4). |

"I remember the oldest one I've seen on British plates (badged as Zhiguli, in Cyrillic) had an M registration (1973-4)." Just what I was thinking... -- Last edit: 2009-06-23 17:15:39 |

These door handle are 124 only. But it is true that orange blinker are usually "Lada" |

IIRC orange indicators were required in the UK. |

It's because of those orange indicators that I thought it might be a Lada... |

I can't remember exactly when the UK started to require orange indicators fore and aft; I think they became legal in the late 50s, but some manufacturers were still fitting white front/red rear after then. |

Fiat for UK had orange front indicators, and this is a Fiat 124 and not a Lada. |
