My goodness, I forgot this very rare Double-Deck. Perhaps later 'fsebus' can help us. The thumbnail is a 'collage' from 13 partial views of 13 pics. The front looks from US |

1948-53 B-Series with the 1948-50 front face. Dodge buses of this era were based on the 1½-ton F-, the 2½-ton J- or the 2¾-ton R-models (11,750 to 19,000 lbs / 5.3 to 8.6 t of GVWR), depending on the wheelbase and the passenger capacity. No Dodge trucks or chassis were maid in Spain before the early 1970s, I'm not sure that the Spain body is enough to set it as "Built in Spain". And as export model, the basis could a Fargo chassis + cab. |

It's not really a double deck, the lower area under the rear extension is for luggage, not people. In UK, these are known as 1 1/2 deckers, or sometimes as observation coaches. Both this and the link are airline feeder coaches. /vehicle_592901-Commer-Commando-Q4-1946.html -- Last edit: 2016-03-29 15:40:09 |
