Does list as a "3000 GT L" |

Clarkson refers to it as 'The RS Capri' in an article about RS Fords. Plus, I don't think a GT L ever existed. RS 3100: Link to "images.google.co.uk" |

A GT L was part of the pre-facelift Mk.I model range so a 3000GT was available in base, L, XL and XLR trim packs, but not not after the Capri's facelift. So an error I guess on the mycarcheck.com site. The DVLA site doesn't have a manufacturing date for this car but I doubt it was over a year before being registered in September 1974. Engine size and appearance point to it being an RS3100. Date of Liability 01 01 2010 Date of First Registration 18 09 1974 Year of Manufacture Not Available Cylinder Capacity (cc) 3100CC Vehicle Colour RED edit: The car belongs to a member of the RScapris forum so it confirms it as genuine I guess. Production was 250, all made November 73 and intended for UK only, although very slow sales during fuel crisis so 50 of that 250 were sent to Australia in June/July 74 to clear them. http://www.rscapris.com/RS3100Info.html |
