1954 Austin A40 Cambridge or A50 Cambridge (100% sure). There was no external difference between these models, only engine size 1200cc for A40 and 1500cc for A50 - both in production at the same time (1954-57) but the larger engined car sold in far greater quantities. The A40 Cambridge was available as 2-door or 4-door the A50 was 4-door only. This appears to be a 4-door so could be either vehicle. See link http://www.co-oc.org/A50.html |

It's an Austin A55 (MkI), 1957-1959: it has the chrome grille surround, protruding headlight bezels, the snazzy chrome side strip and the enlarged boot, which were the main features of the facelift from the A40/A50. Nice period roof rack by the way. |
