Actually I don't think this is a 300... By the strips on the side of the bonnet it is rather a 1952+ 220 [W187]. I think it's a Cabriolet B (the side windows seem to be long enough). The rear window shape and size indicates 2-door Coupe - technically Cabriolet A with hardtop. |

W187 series 220 Coupé had rounded window corners on a pretty much flat windscreen covered by a roof wrapping down over the sides. The 300 S/ 300 Sc had a window like this. The updated 12/55 (as 1956) 300 Sc Coupé W188 II / 188.014 gained these similar bonnet crests and the larger indicators, as well as the chrome wheel arch trim visible here that the 220 didn't have. |
