Not an '84 (that's too new for the release date of the movie), and it's a Cutlass Supreme (the coupe, the Cutlass, which was a sedan, had a flat front end, whereas on this car, you can see the bottom of the grille area flares out a bit). That design went into production for '81, but this could be as new as '83, I suppose. |

Sorry Hecubus, I didnt notice the date for the movie, I did find that all the Cutlass Supremes utilize the same exact front end, just different grill patterns.........my bad ![]() |

This is most likely a 1981 or 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, they came with 2 different grills, then in later years, they would upgrade the grill only once per year. (This generation of Cutlass ran from mid 1981 thru mid 1988). I owned a burgundy 1981 built for the 1982 model year almost the same as the car shown but I had the Brougham grill (and beige interior). All the coupes 1981 thru the 1988(Classic), had the slanted nose. The 4 door sedans were all vertical grills with more chromed grills than the coupes which had more body color on the nose. Some grills had body color in between the chrome on the coupes. The sedans still had traditional bumpers too. -- Last edit: 2011-09-01 08:19:36 |

I love these cars. This is most likely a base model Cutlass Supreme with a few options like bucket seats, automatic floor shifter, and twin sport mirrors. And I think that these cars without the vinyl tops look almost as nice as the ones that do have them. |
