What's right of it, the white Coupé? Something Japanese? |

AFAIK Authi never produced ADO38s of any kind, so this is British-made. I think Morris Oxford VIs were more common as taxis in Portugal (in the Algarve, anyway) but it's difficult to tell at this distance whether this is one or an Austin A60 Cambridge. -- Last edit: 2009-12-04 11:14:26 |

The white car is a (brandnew) Mazda 616. |

Morris Oxford VI (1962 to 1971) The rear over-rider extends upwards as part of the trim under the rear lights and is convex, as seen on the right. The Austin A60 Cambridge over-rider was separate and the trim was distinctly concave. |

All these taxis were Diesel versions ( Portuguese Police - P.S.P. - also had them ). Nevertheless, I'm not sure about when they were introduced in Portugal and some could even had been assembled here. |
