It looks like a Chevrolet version of the early-90s Suzuki Swift, not the later generation. Was the early one also called Metro? |

I don't think this is a metro at all, the dash just doesn't look right. plus AFAIK the Metro was only sold in North America |

It seems to be a Chevrolet based on this Suzuki sedan -- sold in the US as the Swift and in Canada as the Geo Metro sedan: Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" Its name probably isn't "Chevrolet Metro" though. |

This car is not a 3rd gen Swift/Metro/Sprint or any of it's derivatives!! The shape of the car is completely wrong, The 3rd gen cars are way more round than the one in this picture! My original thought was that it was a 1990-94 Swift/Metro as the shape of the body fits but like I said the dash didn't look right to me (I was looking at a 1992 Metro Notchback brochure) but after looking through some more of my Suzuki literature this one does indeed have the 1990-1991 dash. EDIT after rereading the post above and the site sourced on wikipedia I see that Colombia never got the 3rd gen (the second gen was sold through 04) but this one indeed has the 1991 dashboard. -- Last edit: 2009-12-19 16:15:36 |
