1938 Fiat 508L / Balilla 1100 / 1100 L Tassi (?) -- Last edit: 2009-12-28 19:05:15 |

The first 1100 model was a renamed in 1938 508. To me this is based on the second type of body intorduced in 1939. Perhaps 1940 1100 L Tassi is the oldest possibility in this case, but maybe it can also be a post-war 1100 BLT. |

Horizontal door handles suggests pre-1940, 2nd version car. You're right 1939 is very possible. -- Last edit: 2009-12-28 19:16:29 |

Ah good point - You reminded me that 1100 BLT had later again a horizontal handles /vehicle_163413-Fiat-1100-BLT.html So BLT. The front is too vertical for the 1937-39 508/1100. -- Last edit: 2009-12-28 19:16:38 |

Yes. By the horizontal door handles it wil be a 1948+ ALT Tassì. These were built until late 1953. Edit: http://www.zuckerfabrik24.de/fiat/fiat1100B_1.htm#1100BLT -- Last edit: 2009-12-28 19:18:17 |

Mike you meant BLT instead of ALT? The link is to BLT's. As far As I know ALT didn't exist, I mean not as official name it was just a 1100 L. -- Last edit: 2009-12-28 19:23:11 |
