Er, is it a Celica or is it a Supra? Je suis perplexé... |

Until 1986 the Supra was a version of the Celica, or something like that. -- Last edit: 2006-09-15 23:12:58 |

Until 1986 supra was a top version with high power engine of the celica. After 1986 it became a separate modell (with the MA70) Just one mistake : the car is indeed based on a TA60, has a 2.8 six cillinder, but it is a celica supra MKII. The MKI was based on the celica TA40 1979 1981. (see comments on other pictures : wikipedia)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Supra -- Last edit: 2006-11-25 13:47:51 |

Yep, definitely a Celica Supra 2.8, I wish I still had my old one ![]() |

The model shown is actually not a TA60 but an MA61. The TA60 didn't have popup lights. Someone please correct this in the title. I own an MA61 myself, so I should know ![]() -- Last edit: 2008-02-07 23:42:21 |

Thanks for your comment, Enco. You are welcome on this site! Not many people know exact details about Japanese coupes... Does your comment mean the model year is not correct? |

1984. The front turn signals wrap around to the sides, so '84 is the oldest it could be, and I can't see that it has the '85-'86 dual level spoiler. |

Wrong! Toyota Celica, aswell as Carina, had a wheelbase of 2,5meters when the CelicaSupra was 2,61meters. I have them all ![]() |
