This and the Saab are seen briefly passing by in the background, don't we have enough Corollas and Saab 900s on this site? |

I do not know for the Corolla, but the Saab is worth listing |

A background car shows the setting of a movie. Just because there are Corollas in other movies doesn't mean it shouldn't be listed for this one. And the generation is E90: Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" |

If it was any other car.... If you like them so much, why don't you drive one? |

Too expensive and too big for my garage (and currently I do not own a car anyway, I just drive one lend by company, it is cheaper ) -- Last edit: 2010-01-18 14:48:39 |

Is there nowhere else you could park it? And I didn't necessarily mean a brand new one, you have a good, steady job don't you? Well, I hope you get one one day since you seem to like them so much |

Some day I'd probably buy a 900 (either classic or NG) or 1st-gen 9-3, but it sounds a little stupid to pay for a car while I already have one that I can use for free... |

Put one of these stickers on your car and win a new 9-3! They're handing them out at the Brussels autoshow. Or for a used one, the amount of devaluation is unbelievable... You can easily find a 900NG for 2500 euros and less now. Have a look on http://www.saabforum.nl/ it's a very active Saab community with a big "for sale" section too. |

There is a good reason why it's easy to find a cheap 900NG, it's the worst car ever built. The 9-3 however got rid of all the problems so I would recommend that one instead. |

A first gen 9-3 is equally cheap, I'd say the differences were very minor. The 900NG still resembles more the classic 900 with its longer bumpers. How exactly is it "the worst car ever built"? |

I see SAABs every day and nowdays you could never find a 900NG without rust but I don't think I have seen any 9-3s with rust. It's a well known fact that 900NG had much worse rustprotection, also some mechanical issues (but I don't know much about that). |

I've no rust at all, never had any real problems with it, but then it's properly maintained. I know of people who have driven 700.000km with a 900NG. Up north it's probably much worse with all the salt on the roads... With a classic 900 you of course have to worry about rust. It's a little expensive to maintain and replace little things but I don't mind since I like driving it... You should be defending Saab since you're Swedish not me! The one thing I'd recommended Antoine is to only buy a car with a complete service history at a Saab dealer, more important than the amount of kilometers. -- Last edit: 2010-01-19 00:46:36 |

All this talk of Saabs and no one corrects the Corolla year/model? Perhaps this site needs some enthusiastic Japanese members to counteract the Swedish influence. |

Japanese cars have no character. Not now and never had... |

Great... have fun pumping money into your character car, and I'll cruise around in my "souless" Toyota, basking in the refinement and repair-free experience. -- Last edit: 2010-01-19 01:21:57 |

To each his own. I know Toyotas are very well built but to me they have zero appeal. |
◊ 2010-02-05 18:20 |
Oh taxiguy, have you heard? You must take your Toyota back before it kills you. They tend to accelerate when you don't want them to. Buy a SAAB before it's too late. |

When the Toyota-problem comes up, I thought at first about the American hysteria of the mid-80ies Audi's. There was no defect at all, it was just the fact, that the drivers had been to stupid... @chicomarx: but a SAAB can really f.cks you up - when you cannot handle it. Like me once. A friend told me "Please put it out of the no-stopping-area and park it somewhere else" and gave me the key. So I did with his 1977 SAAB 99 - and was become really heavily pissed, when I wanted to lock and leave the car! The ignition key... btw. I still have kept the key-bag for you. @Max: this happens to SAAB-drivers, but surely not to Toyota-owners: /vehicle.php?id=272564 |
