I don't think this is a 404; it looks to me like a BMC ADO9. For some reason I favour a Morris Oxford Series V [ADO9M], 1959+. |

This is in Argentina, right? One would expect here a Siam di Tella (with the Riley-like grille), but since 1965 there was a Morris version built by C.I.D.A.S.A.: the 1650 Fordor. http://www.cocheargentino.com.ar/c/cidasa.htm |

Sorry, the picture is in Uruguay. |

AH, thanks Gomselmash11. Maybe CIDASA exported to Uruguay? Or was there a local assembly plant? |

Made in Argentina, but SIAM have a plant in Uruguay (i don't know CIDASA before). Surely exports to Uruguay, but is difficult to know, since there is not much information. Furthermore, the Uruguayan automobile web, is not listed this car as done in that country. The image is in Montevideo, is apparently an embassy which appears as background |

So until other info best to list it as origin UK, built in RA, made for U, right? |

Yes, right. This is a montevidean typicall taxi of the 70's. |

Should be [ADO38] as has 1622cc and smoothed rear fins. ADO9 was previous sharp fins and 1489cc. |
