If this is set in India its almost certainly a Hindustan Ambassador en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindustan_Ambassador. The back end is certainly the right shape. This was at first a license built version of the Morris Oxford series III, then later Hindustan updated and upgraded the car with various improvements, such as modern materials for the dashboard (rock hard plastic!), diesel engines, more modern engines, and so on. |

If this is in Goa (the architecture looks like it), the car could be a foreign model dating from the Portuguese colonial era. India annexed Goa in 1961. Link to "en.wikipedia.org" |

It's very Datsun Bluebird [310] -ish. Hindustan Ambassador hadn't such wraparound rear window! |
