The start of this episode, a woman goes to start a Lamborghini, and it blows up. What they show blowing up is actually a Citroen DS (because it looks so similar to the Lambo?): ![]() ![]() They then show a burnt-out shell of the Lambo, but it looks like a different model: ![]() ![]() |

^Burnt out shell - Is that maybe a Lancia Monte-Carlo (Scorpion in the US)? |

Front end is too pointy for a Lancia Scorpion. It looks more like a mid 70's Maserati. Still trying to wrap my brain on the Espada/Citroen connection. How did any editor think one could be confused for the other? |

Poor Citroen. I think it deserves to be listed ? |

1971 Espada 400 GTE S2 due to wheels, side mirror and dashboard shape. I catched nice Espada cruising thru German A9 autobahn in September 2009: Link to "lh4.ggpht.com" Link to "lh5.ggpht.com" Link to "lh6.ggpht.com" |

I mean, it goes by pretty fast, and this show wasn't really made for people who have an eye for cars. Either way, the Citroen explosion is another thing to add to my "where did that scene come from" search list. -- Last edit: 2022-11-12 03:24:07 |

Only one listed like that on the database. Not wrong but mostly forgotten designation, Series II is enough like the rest. |

I think the barbecue was also an Espada. |

It was. Unfortunately. |
