A Talbot Samba in New York (what does it do there !?), that tries to hide behind steam clouds, but DIEHARD saw it ![]() Another one maybe on the right of that picture: ![]() |

Pour l'image 2, c'est plus une LNA 11 RS Citroën: déco caractéristique autour de la vitre arrière. |

If it is really in in New York, than this is really a unique sight.... But if it is not than it is just bad casting.... -- Last edit: 2006-04-17 22:50:17 |

I think you could find its actually London... in another picture of the Honda a UK style blue "One-way" sign is shown on what is I think this same street. /vehicle_29458-Honda-Civic-1984.html |

It looks a lot more like London than NYC. The advertisement in the second picture is for a restaurant in Zürich, Switzerland. ... getting complicated ... I'll have a look at the film -- but not tonight! Good night! ![]() |

Second picture may be from a scene in Switzerland. I do not know for this movie, but the more recent "Bourne Identity" was accross several countries. |

Correct, there are scene's in France, Paris aswell as the mediterean coast, Zürich, some small town in Switserland and supposedly in New York.... See all the American cars they brought into this scene, and also the license plates.... |

Behind the van there's a Mercedes with a British number plate. Perhaps they ran out of American cars or the owner refused to move it or something. |

Probably they just thought no one would notice. The film was made in 1988, before DVD and single freeze frame stepping arrived. How could they know that we would scrutinize every pixel! ![]() |

Indeed. ![]() By the way, there are some fake plates in the Swiss scenes -- the very small Swiss front plates, but at the back of the car. |

I know this place: "Bürkliplatz" in Zurich, Switzerland. -- Last edit: 2008-01-27 01:26:46 |

The one on the right of this thumbnail seems to be a 1983+ Citroën LNA. |

Gosh, what were they thinking? It looks 120% London, when I looked at I thought "what is a Checker cab doing in the UK"? |

I suppose they reckoned that London would make a better fake New York than Paris or Zurich. ![]() |
