Originaly the mk1 saloon and coupe would have had the rear numberplate below the bumper. On the saloon, the Morris badge was on the left of the boot and the Marina 1.8 was on the right. On the coupe, the Morris badge was on the panel between the light clusters, Marina on the left of the boot and Coupe 1.8 on the right. Generally, the numberplate was only fitted above the bumper when a towbar was fitted but in this case I don't see one. |

It's certainly an early one as its got right handed wipers... When press journalists found wipers could lift off the screen at speed Bizarrely BLMC decided the easiest and cheapest solution was to switch to fit LHD wiper sets to RHD cars and vice versa for export LHD examples !!! |
