1959 Buick Electra 225 |

If this is indeed an Electra 225, then, judging by the interior of the roof and window surrounds, this is the hardtop sedan model 4839. Both the four-door sedans of this uppermost series were pillarless, and both had a total length of 225.4 inches. This is what is represented by the number "225." |

From Here it's hard to certifie that is an Electra 225. In fact Its 4739 triple turbine Electra I own this car for twenty five years and was on charge of cation and background cars on the film. For this sequence Patrice Leconte asks for fifteen exotic cars for the "concours d'élégance" shot on the horse track of Chantilly. This Buick is very representative of the late fifties chrome delirium of GM. The car was all original exept the paint because when I got it, it was dark grey. I repaint it with a Citroen paint reference quite close from the original Magic Mirror Shalimar Blue. A really wonderful car. |
