Citroën M35, a coupe based on the Ami 8. A small fleet of these cars, with this unique body, was built and leased to selected customers in order to test the Wankel engine. |

Relatively many survived cause experimental customers refused to give them back! Those cars weren't reliable or sober in fuel consumption but they had the magic touch Citroen was giving then to every creation.. Once bought it's not in your possession, you are.. ![]() -- Last edit: 2010-06-09 09:22:15 |

Same happened with the GS Birotor. As I've heard from the Wankel-freaks, more Birotor have survived - there the customers have seen, what Citroen did with the M35, they took back. |

Incredible chance of an unusual experience. ![]() |

Yes, it was indeed! Of course it is not an easy bread-and-butter car or an everyman's friend, and I'm not sure wether I admire the looks or hate them, but it is really an incredible experience to feel the supurb suspension (all the good things of the 2CV and DS suspension combined, and it stayed almost horizontal during fast cornering!) and I was really surprised by the power of the Wankel engine (my earlier experience was a bit of a disappointment in this regard). What's more important to get a M35, money or decades-old deepest scene-connections? |

The dealer is "a specialist for French and Swedish cars", as he refers about himself: http://www.atelier-automobile.de/verkauf/verkauf-ab-meilenwerk.html |

He may call himself "a specialist for French and Swedish cars", but why is he selling a yellow 1959 2CV with a 1963+ dashboard? Or would it rather be a 1963/64 2CV with a pre-1960 front? Yes indeed:check the way the engine lid is kept open, impossible for a "Wellblechente" ![]() ![]() And the grey 2CV he is selling as a 1958 AZ is in fact an AZLP |

Yes, a "specialist" who calls the car in question "Bitotor" to begin with. I've been watching these "Meilenwerk"-folks for a couple of years now. They start spreading over the whole country. Düsseldorf was their first station, then Berlin and then a couple of years ago Böblingen which is near where I live at the moment. Been there once- very elitist attitude, phantasy-prices. "Mehr Schein als Sein", but they're very successful. They always chose facilities in wealthy regions as it has become "chic" among yuppies a couple of years ago to own a classic car or a youngtimer. -- Last edit: 2014-10-23 21:58:26 |

You can expect these kind of dealers in ever "Meilenwerk"-dependance. If you have this company http://www.mirbach.de/ there (as in Düsseldorf), the others try to hold with them, too. It's known in Germany for the highest prices for classic cars, although they have mainly real good stuff in their stock. |
