IMDb lists the documentary at 3 hours; however, BAFTA's John Grierson Award is for short films and History of the Motor Car was indeed nominated in '73 and Part Two won awards in '74. Looks like we have a 6-part documentary mini series with one release each year from '72 to '77 and IMDb lists all six parts under one title with the original's release year.
