This car is a 1985 Trans Am. You can tell because in 1985 only did the T/A come with the new style (taller) ground f/x and (webbed) tail lights but still had the earlier style spoiler (later given to base firebirds). in '86 they introduced the Aero Wing and had a third tail light on top of the rear hatch. Hecubus- in 1983 The limited Edition Daytona Pace car was the first 3rd gen T/A to have a full set of ground f/x. They made about 2,000 of these cars. In 1984 they offered these same ground f/x in the optional W-62 Aero Package for the T/A. in 1985 they introduced a new style of ground f/x (which are taller up the side of the car) and are shaped slightly differently (as seen in the pic above). in 1985 they became standard T/A equipment. 1982 and regular '83 Trans Am's could be had with the partial ground f/x which merely flared out the base of the front side of each wheel opening.
