looks like MG midget. but strange taillights.

MG definitely, possibly MG B.

The shut line for the boot/trunk looks too close to the tail-light I think for the Midget. It looks more like MG B.

Late version MG Midget, I think Midget 1500.

I had to look twice to see a car! ;)

Compare the width between tail-light and boot lid opening....

MG B (red car) is less than the wider MG Midget (white).

Its an MG B in my considered opinion. ;)

Why is it listed as: cars, convertibles?
Better the MG then a Tempo.......

Yes, looking at it again with your pictures, the other conclusive proof is the reversing light position. On the opposite side it would not be possible with the fuel-filler position on a Midget.

MG B 100% sure.

MG B sure. But convertible or coupé => GT

Convertible 100% sure.

The rear wing is quite clear on the right hand side and has no C pillar extension for the GT coupe.

Despite all the debris the rear bodywork is not deformed, so any coupe shape would be be visible and significantly different.

Merged from separate listing...same MG B

Saturn Simon..
Saturn Simon wrote I'm pretty sure that's an early Triumph Spitfire rather than a Datsun.

Bebert..

Sunbar....
Sunbar wrote I would say its the front end of the MGB already listed.

To me its not a Spitfire. The Spitfire's front wings had exposed seams on the top surface the burnt car is completely smooth on the top of the wings.
