Just like with the first Mustang, it is commonly said that the Model T was introduced in 1908, but it was in fact unveiled October 1, 1908 as a 1909. Please correct this one and the other two. |

But the whole concept of model years were invented about 20 years later, during TGD (The Great Depression) to boost the sale of new models. First in the US (e.g. VW would use model years from 1956, in August 1955, and you could argue they didn't even exist in the twenties but that is off topic) It would be slightly wrong to force model years to these early Fords, albeit it has been done, yes |

Actually Ford had fiscal years for the Model T, and they were basically the same as model years. Many books refer to the later Ts with model years. Model T MYs were always August 1 of one year to July 31 of the next. |
