I originally listed this as a "Cargo Van" but someone changed it to just simply "Van." I thought that was the official name for the cargo versions like this one: /vehicle_148920-Toyota-Cargo-Van-1984.html or am I wrong? -- Last edit: 2010-08-13 16:24:49 |

I think it may be best to list these as just 'Van' unless we can find a definate source as to the propper model name, AFAIK The owners manual always refer to all of them as simply 'Van' (except 1984 which the owners manual said 'Van Wagon') If we go by the brochures and advertisements depending on the year you had 'Toyota Van', 'Toyota Van Wagon', 'Toyota Wagon', 'Toyota Passenger van', 'Toyota Cargo Van (with windows)', 'Toyota Panel Van'(no windows) so I am not sure if the term 'Cargo', 'Passenger', 'Panel' were being used as the body style or model name. FWIW this is how NADA lists them: 1984-86: Van • Deluxe • LE • Cargo 1987: Van • Deluxe • LE • Panel Van • Panel Van 4X4 • Van LE 4X4 • Window Van 1988: Van • Deluxe • LE • LE 4x4 • Panel • Panel 4x4 • Window 1989:Van • Deluxe • Deluxe 4x4 • LE • LE 4x4 • Panel • Panel 4x4 • Window 1991:Previa Van • Wagon DX • Wagon DX All-Trac • Wagon LE • Wagon LE All-Trac I have included the 1991 Previa for reference on how NADA lists them. -- Last edit: 2010-08-13 17:04:51 |

Alright, I see... I guess, as you said, it's easier and less confusing to just simply list them as "Van." |
