1973 BMW 520 I (read on the grille !!) The 528 I appeared in late 1977 on the facelifted version... |

Was this badge in the grille common for the 520i? In only remember 525 or 528. |

Indeed, this 520i has grille badge and front bumper which were a bit unusual, according to perfect sample of original car: http://e12.assertion.de/palette/de/02a07l10.htm Maybe they were Italian version's elements. Ingo, do you know that E12's badge? http://e12.assertion.de/palette/de/02a14001.jpg It isn't Photoshop work. ![]() |

However Realoem claims the front emblem "520i" was avaible to 1976's holiday break. |

Sorry, never seen it. But, as Kowalski has pointed out correctly; I'm an idiot in BMW-related knowledge: /vehicle.php?id=286201 No problem for me, I still keep my prejudices about BMW-drivers. ![]() |

I have been working for better BMW drivers' fame. ![]() Seen many normal, keen drivers in BMWs, however in basic types mostly. You touched the (top of iceberg) problem with some special type of drivers having tremendous ego, owning all brands of cars in true. - "ME, MY [the best] car and the rest of those poor idiots in their dull clunkers". However it's easier to sneer sitting in premium class car, indeed. |

So it's not just here that BMW drivers have a bad reputation? Mind, Audi drivers are getting as bad. I was surprised when I found out today Audi sell more cars than BMW in the UK. Maybe the madmen are moving over. |
